Marketing Director
The volunteer Marketing Director position is a leadership role which is essential to shaping IGGAB’s public presence and strengthening communication across the organization.
Reports to: IGGAB Board
Time commitment: Approximately 10 hours per week, including attendance at weekly Board meetings.
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a data-driven marketing and communications strategy aligned with IGGAB’s mission and goals.
- Lead, direct, and grow the Marketing team in-line with strategy.
- Identify key target audiences and tailor messaging accordingly.
- Manage team of marketing volunteers, including: social media manager, public relations manager, email communications manager, webmaster.
- Oversee the creation of all external communications (email, social media, annual reports, etc.)
- Oversee the organization's media relations, serving as the primary point of contact for press inquiries or preparing subject matter experts for interviews.
- Oversee and grow the organization’s online presence, including the website and all social media channels (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook)
Required skills and experience:
- 5+ years in marketing, communications, or public relations, with at least 2 years in a leadership or director-level capacity, including people and/or team management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex, scientific, or sensitive information into clear and engaging public messaging.
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools, including Canva, social media platforms, website design (including Weebly) and content management systems.
